- My love for art has been a part of who I am since my childhood, long before I began my career in art some thirty years ago. My usual subject matter is still life--plants and flowers for the most part--although I do produce landscapes and portraits at times. My recent focus has been on looking closely at everyday scenes -- vegetables at a farmer's market , a bush in the yard, the light playing on one bloom-- and giving viewers a heightened awareness of the beauty to be found in the ordinary objects around us.
